How to prepare Healthy Spiralized Carrot Noodels - Yummy for Weekend Dinner

오전 5:56:00
If you haven’t invested in a spiralizer yet, you really should get it soon for preparing healthy vegetable noodles. You can spiralize many things which you love it once you prepare that.

You can also spiralize many vegetables like carrot, beets, sweet potatoes, turnips, jicama, and apples.

Here’s I guide you to prepare easy carrot noodle recipe that’s too healthy, which you can make it quick, and it will be a perfect weeknight dinner.
First Step - spiralizing your carrots.

Stir together rice vinegar, soy sauce, and peanut butter to make a super easy peanut sauce.

Heat a little oil in a large pan, then add the carrot noodles and cook them for a couple minutes. Add shredded chicken (for vegans avoid chicken), scallions, and the peanut sauce, and stir everything together.

Once the chicken is heated, add chopped cilantro and stir everything again. Once it’s all mixed together, you’re done!

Carrot Noodles with Chicken and Peanut Sauce:-

Servings: 2
Recipe by Christine Byrne

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 medium carrots, peeled
  • 1 tablespoon unseasoned rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce (or tamari, if you’re gluten-free)
  • 2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 4 scallions, whites thinly sliced, greens cut in 1-inch pieces
  • 8 ounces cooked chicken (for vegans avoid chicken), skin removed, shredded
  • ¼ cup cilantro leaves, roughly chopped

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Use a spiralizer to spiralize the peeled carrots into “noodles”. If you don’t have a spiralizer, you can use a vegetable peeler to shave the carrots into ribbons, but it won’t be exactly the same.

2. In a small bowl, stir together rice vinegar, soy sauce, and peanut butter to make the peanut sauce. Set aside.

3. Heat canola oil in a medium skillet over medium heat. Add the carrot noodles and season with salt. Cook, stirring often, just until the carrots start to soften, about 2 minutes. Add the scallions and cook, stirring, just until the scallion whites start to soften, about a minute. Add the chicken and peanut sauce and cook, stirring, until the chicken is hot and everything is coated in sauce. Add cilantro, stir together, and remove the noodles from the heat.

4. Serve immediately, with extra cilantro, if you want.

Keep your skin silky smooth with these 7 tips:

1. Exfoliate daily.

I keep exfoliating gloves in the shower, and use them with my cleansing gel to slough off dead skin and encourage cell turnover. It's invigorating, too!

2. Finish your shower with oil.

While still in the shower, rub some good oil all over your body. It will seal in moisture with the added benefit of calming all of the nerve endings on your skin. I use an oil blend called Heritage, which you can find at any health food store, but coconut oil, olive oil, and sesame oil are all good options.

3. Take warm, not hot showers.

Super hot water can pull moisture out of your skin. Try reducing the heat or reducing the length of your shower.

4. Hydrate.

Make sure you're getting your daily recommended dose of H2O. It's also nice to sip on herbal teas when it gets a bit chilly.

5. Be aware of perfumes and other chemicals on your clothing.

In the winter, most of your body is covered by clothing. If your detergent irrirates your skin, it will dry out. If you discover that your skin gets itchy soon after you put on your clothes, this could be a problem - try switching to a dye-free, natural detergent and see if that helps.

6. Increase your fat intake.

It's Wintertime! It's time for richer foods, root vegetables, and fat. Your body needs it to insulate and run smoothly in the harsher weather. If you are a person who counts out your daily 1 tablespoon of olive oil, you're going to want to up your fat intake. It will do wonders for your skin and the rest of your bodily functions! Try blending coconut butter or oil into your coffee; roasting root veggies with some coconut oil, adding real butter from grass-fed cows to veggies or eggs, etc.

A humidifier can be a great Wintertime addition to keep the air in your house at a good moisture level.

10. Paw-paw (papaya):

Paw-paw extracts are widely used in the skin care industry in the form of facial peels, soaps, cleansers and lotions. But why go after chemical treatments, when you can enjoy the goodness of paw-paw, fresh and cheap.

Eat paw-paw regularly and even mash it and apply on skin for a youthful bright glow.

About ten to twenty minutes of sun a day is healthy as it creates vitamin D, a powerful antioxidant and anti-carcinogen, but you should wear sunscreen if you plan on being in the sun longer than that.

Avoid stimulants like refined sugar and caffeine because these upset hormone balances and mess with circulation. They also make it difficult for the body to get the rest it needs to repair.

How 5 Anti Ageing Tips Can Help You Survive with Smile

오전 7:19:00

1. Use UV screening cosmetic products

Its Just a Reference Product - we are not recommending this
If you protect your skin from the sun’s rays only in the summer, when you’re sunbathing, you must know that this singular habit isn’t an effective barrier against wrinkles. Sun exposure is the main factor of skin aging. Some experts actually estimate that about 80% of aging is due to sun effects. Even more, sun exposure can cause skin cancer after the age of 50. Protection must be adapted depending on each type of skin. People with very light skin color need to use UV screening creams all year round. If you’re using these kind of products daily there’s a chance that your skin will have less wrinkles or sun-caused spots.

2. Eat fruits, vegetables and fish every day

Eat more fresh fruits and vegetables and you’ll do your skin a very big favor! Lacking vitamins is the next major cause of body deterioration. You must pay attention to your meals more often, by that meaning you have to supply it with antioxidants (vitamins A, E, C and selenium), zinc and copper. You need a daily quantity of 60 miligrams of C vitamin (about as much as an orange has). It is recommended to give up sweets, meat and fat-rich food. Don’t forget breakfast! It’s well known that even a piece of bread and butter or some cereals with milk will help your digestive system deal with the food more efficiently. Besides that, it also make you less hungry between the meals.

3. Drink more liquids!

Correct body hydration helps keep your skin young. Drink natural juices as much as possible, mineral water and tea. Avoid consuming too much black tea and coffee. In the summer your body will need up to 6 liters of fluids while in the cold season 1.5-2 liters will do the job.

4. Give up smoking

Both nicotine and alcohol “steal” the skin’s vitamins and minerals thus leaving it dehydrated and exposed to wrinkle conditions. Smoking should be definitely forbidden because it directly affects the skin, large part of the toxins being eliminated through it. These factors contribute to the whole body aging, also increasing the risks of cancer, arthritis and osteoporosis. Alcohol in moderate quantities isn’t as harmful as tobacco is, unless there’s strict recommendation against it from your doctor.

5. Take it easy!

It has been proven that chronic stress increases the aging process' speed. Don’t forget the 3 eights rule: have 8 hours of sleep, 8 hours of work and 8 hours of relaxation each day. It sounds impossible, right? Try yoga, meditation, massage or aromatherapy. You can use oils that create a peaceful sensation such as lavender. Can't get enough sleep? You should try harder, otherwise your efficiency at work will suffer, you’ll do a lot of mistakes and you'll get old quicker. Try harder to spend quality time with your friends, in a relaxing environment. Laughter has its benefits!

What is real cause for dandruff? Do You Know?

오전 9:19:00
Dandruff is not caused by a fungus, as many believe, but by an imbalance between two competing bacteria that naturally colonise the human scalp, according to a study released Thursday.
Think of Propionibacterium and Staphylococcus as the yin and yang of healthy hair: when they hold each other in check, so too is dandruff held at bay.
But when one dominates the other, the tell-tale white flecks that settle on shoulders like snowdust begin to proliferate, a team of Chinese and Japanese researchers reported.

Dandruff is the most common scalp disorder on the planet, a tonsorial bane for about half the world's population.
But experts have differed sharply over the years on its causes and possible cures, though consensus has formed of late around one culprit in particular.
"Micro-organisms on the scalp -- especially fungi -- have been predominately thought to be the main cause of the development of dandruff," they noted in the study, published in the Nature Group's Scientific Reports.
Suspecting this might be wrong, a team anchored by Zhang Menghui of Shanghai Jiao Tong University isolated a large number of variables in the ecosystem of the human scalp to see how they interact.
In 59 Chinese volunteers aged from 18 to 60 years old, they measured levels of water, several dozen bacteria, sebum — an oily secretion that proliferates in adolescence and early adulthood — and the allegedly villanous fungus, called Malassezia.

Participants washed their hair 48 hours in advance of the tests, and dandruff samples were taken from eight different sections of the scalp.
"Overall, fungi did not exhibit an important role in the severity of dandruff," they concluded.
"The relationship between the bacteria and the dandruff was signficantly stronger."
But the scientists also noticed that prevalence of the pesky white particles was higher when the ratio of two dominant bacteria — which normally cancel each other out — was altered.
"This study suggests that adusting the balance of the bacteria on the scalp ... might be a potential solution to lessen dandruff," they concluded.

How Living Near Sea Will Improve Your Mental Health

오전 6:32:00
There are very few people who don’t enjoy the benefits of going for a walk by the sea or looking out at the ocean from a sandy beach. Now, some new research suggests there is a reason for our age-old affinity with the ocean.

The research, published in this month’s issue of Health & Place, found that living in a residence with a view of the ocean was associated with improved mental health.

Researchers from the University of Canterbury in New Zealand and Michigan State University looked at the visibility of blue and green spaces for residents in Wellington, New Zealand. Blue spaces were defined as water regions such as beaches and oceans, while green spaces were areas such as parks and forests. Although Wellington is a urbanized capital city, it is nestled next to the Tasman Sea and the Pacific Ocean. The researchers then compared this topography data with information gathered from the New Zealand Health Survey, which was used to assess anxiety and mood disorders.

After taking into account other factors such as the people’s income, age, and sex, they found a correlation between people who had a view of the ocean and positive mental health.

However, while you may think that this effect was due to being near “the great outdoors” in general, the study specifically found that green space did not have the same effect.

In a statement, study co-author Amber Pearson explained why this might be: “It could be because the blue space was all natural, while the green space included human-made areas, such as sports fields and playgrounds, as well as natural areas such as native forests. Perhaps if we only looked at native forests we might find something different.”

The researchers hope to better understand this issue by conducting similar studies in areas that harbor other types of large bodies of water, such as the Great Lakes. Eventually, they hope that a more comprehensive understanding of our surrounding environment and its effect on our health could help guide more effective city planning.

How to Improve Your Eye Sight Naturally

오후 11:41:00
Eating the right diet is essential in maintaining good health. For instance, certain foods can promote heart health such as Omega-3 rich foods such as Salmon and fish. However, eating too much fried foods can worsen heart health and increase blood pressure levels. But, did you know that eating the right foods in terms of a healthy and balanced diet not only improves your overall health, but improves your eye health as well? Therefore, if you are interested in a healthy diet to improve vision, here are some examples of such foods that can help you to achieve that goal:

According to Dr. Duke Peterson, include in your diet plenty of fruits and vegetables, proteins and dairy products. In terms of vegetables that are foods that improve eyesight, some examples are carrots, spinach, bean sprouts, celery, cucumbers, broccoli and kale. In terms of proteins adding fish and salmon to your diet is a good choice. These are good sources of Omega- 3 Fatty Acids that not only promote better mental focus and good brain health, but also support healthier eyesight as well. A Research study conducted by the British Journal of Ophthalmology, revealed that a diet rich in Omega- 3 Fatty acid nutrients significantly cuts the risk for Macular Degeneration by one - thirds. In terms of milk products, avoid pasteurized and homogenized milk products. This is due to the fact that such products have a tendency to clog the arteries and limit circulation to the blood vessels of the eyes which can cause poor eyesight. Good milk substitutes are Almond, rice dream and soy milk.

When taste preferences determine our food choices, there is a common tendency for us to gorge ourselves on processed foods and fried foods. However, these foods increase cholesterol levels, worsen heart health and also contribute to poor eyesight. Instead, consume healthy foods consisting of vitamins A, B, C, D and E. Some examples of nutrient rich foods include sunflower seeds, pecans, soy beans, apricots, liver, raisins and endive.

When it comes to eating a diet to improve eyesight naturally, a factor that should be taken into consideration is maintaining the proper P.H balance. In terms of the right mix of foods we can eat to achieve that proper balance in our diet, some foods are acidic and others are Alkaline. Our American diet includes too many foods that are acidic such as animal protein and sugary foods like red meats and refined sugars. A diet that is too acidic can contribute to a buildup of Uric acid in the joints that can trigger arthritis. Additionally, too much acidity in our diet has a negative effect on the eye muscles leading to poor eyesight. An eye health promoting diet consists of a healthy balance of fruits, vegetables, grains and animal proteins.

Including too much whole grains and animal proteins increases the acidity in the body. However, increasing certain fruits and vegetables decreases acidity and achieves a better alkaline balance. Therefore, the key is to find the best balance between the various food groups. Considering the fact that the American diet is lacking in fruits and vegetables, the key is to find the proper nutritional balance from that perspective.

The food we eat influences the quality of our health. The same principle applies to improving our vision. Therefore, when we eat the right foods that are rich in the right nutrients, from the perspective of a balanced diet, not only will our overall health improve, but we will re-build and restore the health of our precious eyesight as well.
